A glass of white wine, pinot grigio, was ordered. Consternation at the bar. No pinot grigio. But would we accept a shiraz as a substitute?
Unfortunately no. That’s a red wine.
Awesome mistake, hilarity ensued for those with rudimentary knowledge of wine, barman confused and bewildered.
PS – There were lots of other white wines behind the bar.
